NEWSLETTER FROM BARRY
Dear Painter,
I hope you have all had a busy summer enjoying the lovely weather and getting out and about with your paints.
One wonderful asset to painting in the U.K. is the changing seasons. With a great summer behind us we are now
into autumn,(my favoutite time of year) with the leaves turning to gold and brown and replacing the fresh greens
of summer. This is the time of year that really fires me up and I hope to get as much painting done as I can over the
next few weeks.
This year my EXHIBITION is a little earlier than usual, Nov 20 - 22, at The Crowcombe Hall (Details under EXHIBITIONS) I am particularly pleased with a painting I have done to commemorate the second world war
entitled 'Spitfire over Dunkery Beacon, Exmoor' and I am taking a Giclee (pronounced gee-clay) print from it which
will be available in a smaller size and I hope some of you will consider it a possible Christmas present for someone special. I also have paintings of the Isles of Scilly, Dartmoor and Cornwall, London (St. Paul's from the South Bank)
and Bristol (Brunel's S.S. Great Britain) as well as my beloved Exmoor and the Quantocks. We do hope to welcome
many of you there.
The painting raffled this year is in support of St Margaret's Somerset Hospice and is one of my favourites. It is a
scene dear to my heart entitled 'Sheep grazing at Nettlecombe, Somerset' I hope everyone will give generously to this worthy cause.
News of my Courses next year will be announced at the November Exhibition and details sent out early in the New
Year. WATCH THIS SPACE!
Very Best Wishes to you all.
