ONE DAY WORKSHOPS. 10.00 a.m. - 5.00 p.m. (£40.50)

These are limited to 14 students and based at Crowcombe Churchhouse which is close to The Paddocks.

Coffee and biscuits, a gourmet lunch and tea are provided. Lunch will be taken at The Paddocks.

MARCH 16 ..............................PAINTING IN OILS (For Beginners and Improvers)

"The Old Stable" Fundamentals of successful oil painting, including composition, laying in, establishing the darks

and working up the painting to its conclusion.

MARCH 18...............................BRINGING LIFE TO YOUR PASTELS

"Light on the Landscape." Vibrant colour, light and shade, clever use of contrasts, all help to make for a more dynamic painting.

APRIL 14 ......................... STILL LIFE IN MIXED MEDIA

Create your painting using simple washes of watercolour for the middle and dark tones and pull it all together with Gouache. Pots, fruit, copper, brass etc all make ideal subjects. Bring your own or paint ours. Don't forget the tablecloth!

RESIDENTIAL COURSES

 

Price includes accommodation (en-suite add £5.00 per night) Full board and tuition which will be at the Churchhouse or on location. Barry is always on hand with demonstrations and advice. Accommodation will be at The Paddocks, Hartwood House or other selected homes in the area. Lunch will be taken at The Paddocks and dinner at a local hostelry. Bring pastels, oils or watercolours as you choose. Non - Painting Partners welcome.

MAY 11 - 13 .................THREE DAY SPRINGTIME IN SOMERSET.

Commencing Tues. 11.00 a.m. finishing Thurs. 5.00.p.m. (£315.00) Includes tuition, accommodation and full board. Few people know this beautiful part of Somerset - at its best with the fresh colours of Spring. The Quantock Hills, bluebell woods, pretty villages, lanes full of wild flowers, the lambs and farmsteads
with the coastline never far away. Barry will always be around to give a helping hand.

JUNE 8 - 11 ......................FOUR DAY 'OLD STAGERS' REIUNION

Commencing Tues. 11.00 a.m. Finishing Fri. 5.00. p.m. (£365.00) includes tuition, accommodation and full board with the exception of Wednesday lunch. Do come and meet up with old friends, explore the Quantock Hills and Exmoor with its stunning scenery, rivers and Coastline. Good food, good company and great painting are the order of the day. Barry will always be on hand to help or give advice. You wont be disappointed!
